My Story

I have always been passionate about working with youth. After spending years in various teaching and tutoring roles, contributing to research in a developmental psychology lab, and helping to create edTech products that increase supports to both teachers and students, I decided to go into social work. My coursework and practical experiences challenged me to embrace the importance of person-in-environment approaches and ignited my passion for providing directed and supportive therapeutic care to young children. I am so excited to bring that same energy to the Blue Bird team and to continue learning and growing!

My Education

My Professional Goals

  1. I want to put into practice the skills and theories developed from my education. I identify as a lifelong learner, and hope to soak up as many trainings and learn as much from my peers as possible.
  2. In the future, I plan to translate this expertise into advocacy and policy settings.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
