My Story

Growing up, I knew I wanted to work in the medical field. I began my undergraduate studies as a biochemistry major. I quickly found that I didn’t like sitting in a lab all day. I longed for people interaction and opportunities to make meaningful change in people’s lives. I found “Communication Sciences and Disorders” on my university’s programs and degrees website. Thirty minutes into my intro class, I knew this profession was for me. That was my somewhat unconventional start to this field. I quickly found a love for making communication accessible to all. Whether it be children who have a developmental disability, teenagers who stutter, or even adults who have sustained a traumatic brain injury. I love it all!

My Education

Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology,
Midwestern University

Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders,
Oklahoma State University

My Professional Goals

  1. Continue to grow my professional skills and clinical expertise across the lifespan – early intervention, early childhood, adolescence, to adults.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
