Professional Goals

  1. To provide care and support in any capacity needed, while helping to continue to create an inclusive community for both families and team members.
  2. To continue to build upon skills I’ve learned over the years and collaborate with all branches to search for new ways we can continue to grow.

My Advocacy

I have been fortunate to partner with many amazing organizations over the years. Greater Chicago Food Depository, whose mission is to end hunger and address the issues that cause food insecurity and poverty. Make-A-Wish, who create life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Bear Necessities, who provide love and support to local families touched by cancer through experiences called Bear Hugs.

My Story

I have had the opportunity to work, in an administrative capacity, with some of the leading companies in guest experience. It has always seemed like a natural fit for me, as it brings me joy to create an environment in which my team can focus on their role, while I support them. However, raising two kids with SPD has always drawn me to organizations that provide support to families while focusing on the needs of the child. So naturally when I saw Eyas Landing opening a new location in Avondale, my neighborhood, it seemed like the perfect chance for me to partner with a company whose mission is close to my heart. I’m excited to provide HR support to Blue Bird Day and continue to build upon the amazing work that is done here.

My Blue Bird Day

Having two kids who have gone through early intervention, I have seen firsthand the positive impact such services had on their lives. It was their developmental therapist at the time, Dr. Laura, that taught me how to advocate for them, until they were ready to advocate for themselves. She sparked a passion in me to help others, and even though my children no longer receive services, I learned so much along the way and have shared my knowledge with others looking for support. I’ve watched my children grow into thriving individuals and I am grateful for the foundation that Eyas Landing helped lay for them. So now having the opportunity to work with Blue Bird Day feels like a full circle moment for me.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
