Professional Goals

  1. To pursue a doctorate in a therapy field in order to provide the best care for these kids. I hope to utilize my engineering degree to continue to improve support materials and learning devices.

My Story

I started working with children at 14 years old as a gymnastics coach and found so much joy in helping out those who were often ignored or labeled as “difficult”. I found these kids to be the ones with the greatest impact on the world around them. After graduating with a bachelors in biomedical engineering, I decided to return to the child care field with more knowledge of the health care system and hope to make a difference in the lives of each and every kid that attends Blue Bird Day!

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
