My Story

I knew I wanted to be a therapist since I was young because I’ve always been interested in hearing people’s life stories. I went to graduate school at Boston University to become a mental health counselor and while completing my internship at an adolescent partial hospital program, I realized that I loved working with kids and young adults! I’m passionate about early intervention and providing our young ones with the tools that they need to grow into healthy and happy adults.

My Professional Goals

  1. I want to gain administrative experience and clinical experience working with children and teens who are neurodiverse.

My Education

Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine,

My Eyas Landing

My niece attended Blue Bird Day for two years and showed so much growth throughout her time here. She had such a positive experience and loved all of her therapists. I was able to experience the energy of Blue Bird Day firsthand when I attended her graduation ceremony. It was so cute, and you could tell that the therapists cared for the kids so much. That’s when I knew Blue Bird Day was an organization I’d be happy to contribute to.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
