My Story

I have always felt a desire to support people through stressful times and overcome challenges faced day-to-day. I was drawn to social work as a way to support my community and individuals simultaneously. I graduated with my BSW from Western Michigan University, and soon after graduated from UIC’s Jane Addams College of Social Work with my masters. Through my time at school and in the field, I developed a passion for working with children and their families to support growth and mutual engagement. I believe the best way to approach situations is to work as a collaborative team with a strengths-based mindset, and I hope to empower individuals as they grow!

My Education

Bachelor of Social Work,
Western Michigan University

Masters of Social Work,
University of Illinois at Chicago

My Professional Goals

  1. My next professional milestone is to obtain my LCSW from the state of Illinois. I intend to keep learning as much as I can and continue my clinical growth as I work to meet this goal.
  2. For the long term, I would like to continue promoting interdisciplinary care approaches to treatment. I am very excited to be working with professionals from diverse educational backgrounds, and I have so much to learn from all of them!

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
