My Story
I wouldn’t call how I ended up in this field an actual story. Right out of high school, I was struggling to find a major that just felt “right.” I stumbled upon the Human Development and Family Studies at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) and finally felt I found my calling. After about two years of switching majors, I finally found something I really enjoyed learning about, wanted to grow in, and finally had a passion for. My professors at PNW inspired me to continue my education, which led me to my graduate studies and to Chicago!
My Blue Bird Day
I started at Blue Bird Day as a therapeutic assistant, just trying to get by during graduate school. During my times as a TA, Blue Bird Day and all the amazing therapists I was able to work under have all been such a huge part in making me the person and therapist I am today. Once I graduated with my Masters, I was ready to keep learning under the company that supported and taught me as a TA. Being able to see not only my growth here at BBD, but all the kids grow year after year has really inspired me!
