My Story

I decided to become a therapist because, growing up, I had a rough childhood, and I always knew I required support. As I grew up, I pursued treatment, which helped me recover. That’s when I learned how many people went without therapy and decided I wanted to be the one who supported them. I am a survivor of domestic violence, which was tough for me to speak out about until I attended therapy, and I believe that I can make a difference in someone’s life by guiding them to speak up for themselves.

My Advocacy

I support Mujeres Latinas en Accion. I was an Intern for 10 months and I was able to elevate my advocacy skills.

Metropolitan Family Services made a huge impact in my life because that is where I received therapy.

My Education

Bachelor’s Of Social Work,
National Louis University

My Professional Goals

  1. To get my master’s degree in Speech Therapy.
  2. Then going after my doctoral degree.

Blue Bird Day

Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate  preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.

We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy.  A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.

Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
