Professional Goals
I came into Blue Bird with an interest in healthcare professions such as occupational therapy and physical therapy. However, after being here for a little while, I’ve now acquired a new curiosity for other therapy occupations such as a speech language pathologist, ABA therapist, and developmental therapist. In the near future, I ultimately aspire to be part of this field and play an important role in people’s lives.
My Story
Through my undergraduate coursework, I became interested in acquiring a deeper understanding of developmental and cognitive psychology. I thankfully came across this opportunity where I can work in healthcare and pediatrics, both of which I’ve always had a passion for. I know I can have a positive impact in kids’ lives and see them grow/explore new things every day. I am also looking forward to all the knowledge and experiences I will take on with me forever. I can’t wait to see all the kids reach all their milestones!!
Blue Bird Day
Blue Bird Day fosters socialization, sensory regulation, and pre-academic learning in children ages 2–7 years in therapeutic rotations that simulate preschool and kindergarten settings. Our compassionate therapists practice a relationship-based and family-centered approach, provide parent training, and collaborate on goals and individualized intensive treatment plans for your child.
We believe in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team approach to therapy. A team of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, developmental therapists, behavioral therapists, physical therapists, and therapeutic assistants are created for each child to ensure child and family are fully supported and the best possible results are achieved.
Options for individualized, group and virtual therapy sessions are available as well.
